Upcoming for Saints Baseball: The Saints look ahead to a non-conference doubleheader against Goshen (Ind.) tomorrow. They kick-off conference play with a doubleheader against Rochester and Cleary this weekend. 
 
Head Coach: John Kolasinski enters his 18th season as the head coach for the Saints and his 35th season as a collegiate head coach. Currently, Kolasinski has accumulated a career record of 536-766-1 in over 30 years of coaching. The skipper won his 500th career game on March 6th, 2019 when the Saints beat Bethel 22-9. Kolasinski currently stands as the coach with the second-most wins in Siena Heights baseball history. His best season was his 33-25 record in 2012 -- a 25-win improvement over the previous season.
 
Spectator Policy: Family members of SHU Student-athletes and a limited number of the Siena Heights Community (Faculty, Students, and Staff) will be allowed to attend SHU Athletic home events held at both facilities. No visiting spectators will be allowed to attend an event on the SHU campus at this time.
 
At Home: The Saints are 3-10 at home so far this season. All of those games have been non-conference. Their first home conference doubleheader is scheduled for Tuesday, March 30th against Cornerstone.
 
On the Road: The Saints have only had 2 away games so far in the season. They lost a doubleheader to Rio Grande in their first games. SHU will be on the road the entirety of this week for a non-conference doubleheader and two conference doubleheaders.
 
Last Week Recap: On Tuesday, March 16th the Saints played Spring Arbor in a non-conference doubleheader. They lost both games 6-0 in the first and 12-1 in the second.
 
On Sunday, March 21st the Saints added a non-conference doubleheader against Aquinas. They lost the first game 5-1 and lost the second game 4-3.
 
Series History: Goshen (Ind.) - The Maple Leafs hold the all-time record 6-5 against the Saints. SHU has a 3-4 away record and 2-0-1 home record in this series. The last time the two teams met was in the 2019 season on March 26th at Sarger Yoder Field in Goshen, Indiana as Siena lost 6-5, which is also the smallest margin of victory for Goshen in the series.
 
Rochester - The Saints hold the all-time record against the Warriors 14-13. Siena has a 3-6 away record, 11-7 home record, and a 4-4 conference record in the series. This will be the third time the teams meet this season as they faced each other a couple of weekends ago on March 13th and 14th. SHU won 9-2 on Saturday and the Warriors won 19-17 on Sunday.
 
Cleary - The last time the two teams played against each other was in the 2019 season on April 10th for a non-conference doubleheader. The second game ended up getting canceled but the Cougars won the first game 6-5 in 9 innings. Before that, the teams had a conference doubleheader on April 7th as the Saints won both games 8-2 and 5-3.
 
Scouting Report: Goshen (Ind.) - The Maple Leafs are 0-17 overall and 0-12 in the Crossroads League. Camm Nickell leads the team in batting average (.333). Noah Harris has the team's highest slugging percentage (.400). Peyton Smith leads in hits (12) and total bases (14). Nate Lange has the most RBIs (4). Kyle Staelgraeve leads the team on the mound with a 2.92 ERA, 24.2 innings pitched, and 19 strikeouts. 
 
Rochester - The Warriors are 2-7 overall and 1-2 in the WHAC.  T. Marasco leads the team in batting average (.436) and hits (17). C. Romine has the most runs (7). B. Kudela and B. Kavka each have 4 doubles. Kudela also has one home run and a .559 on-base percentage. B. Williams has the highest RBIs (8) and home runs (1). D. Monear leads the team on the mound with a 6.97 ERA, 10.1 innings pitched, and 19 strikeouts. 
 
Cleary - The Cougars are 6-12 overall and 0-2 in the WHAC. Jesse Fishbaum has the team's highest batting average (.385), runs (17)., hits (25), and doubles (6). Anthony Lacle has the highest on-base percentage (.500), runs (17), triples (2), walks (13), and stolen bases (5). Aaron Dyke has the highest slugging percentage (.636). Jeremy VanOosterum has the most RBIs (19). Garrett Larner leads Cleary on the mound with a 7.84 ERA, 20.2 innings pitched, and 25 strikeouts.
