Saints Sneak Past Rochester in WHAC Play

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights baseball team won 7-5 against Rochester in a WHAC makeup single game on Wednesday night. Parker Mabe went 1-for-3 with 2 RBIs on the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Matthew Love pitched 6.0 innings on the mound for SHU allowing nine hits, five runs, one walk, and two home runs while striking out two batters. Jarett Cousino closed on the mound for the Saints pitching 3.0 innings allowing one hit and walking one batter. The Warriors scored one run in the 1st-inning when B. Kudela reached first on an error by the third baseman for an RBI scoring C. Scillion. 

Siena earned two runs in the 4th-inning as Chris Winkelman reached on base by a walk. Collin Bammer singled for an RBI scoring Chris Winkelman. Parker Mabe also reached on base by a walk and Cameron Hammer singled that brought in Parker Mabe for an RBI. The Saints scored three more runs in the 5th-inning as Chris Winkelman reached first on an error by the third baseman earning an RBI that scored Adam Wilding who reached on a single. Parker Mabe walked bringing in Jack Malone for an RBI as he reached on a single. Thomas Lamnek walked earning an RBI that scored Cole VanWasshenova when he reached on a walk.

Rochester had four runs in the 6th-inning to tie the game as B. Williams and B. Kudela homered back to back. M. Gutierrez reached first on an error by the second base for an RBI scoring B. Kavka. C. Romine singled scoring N. Wolfgang for an RBI. Siena's final push was successful as they recorded two runs in the 9th-inning when Cole VanWasshenova walked and Parker Mabe singled that scored him for an RBI. Brad South reached first on an error by the third baseman for an RBI scoring Parker Mabe for the 7-5 win.

Chris Winkelman was 1-3 scoring one run and earning one RBI.
