Syljebeck Reaches 200 Wins at SHU

Siena Heights women's basketball coach Sue Syljebeck and her staff met 200 wins with the victory over Concordia, on Saturday.

Syljebeck is in her 12th season as Head Coach for the women's basketball program. During her time at SHU (2004-2016) the Saints have gone 200-167, giving her a .545 winning-percentage. Syljebeck ranks first in all-time wins and winning-percentage against the other Siena Heights women's basketball coaches. 

The Saints women's basketball program currently have five seasons with 20 or more wins. Four of those five season take place under Syljebeck's leadership (2011-2015). 

Her staff have attributed greatly to Syljebeck's sucess. Longtime Assistant Coach Debrah Ray is in her 13th season at SHU, 12th with Syljebeck. Sara Chrenko and Erin Cassidy joined the staff after each had a successful four year career at Siena Heights, joining in 2005 and 2010, respectively.

New additions to the staff include Grace Howrigon, Assistant Varsity Coach and Head JV Coach, and Caylie Boehmer, Assistant Varsity and JV Coach. Niesha Lowe is the new Recruiting Coordinator for the Saints.

The team has five student-managers: Megan ByersDesirae RosalesLevi LongTerrell ModestEmma Valentine. The Director of Women's Basketball Operations is SHU Alum Sarah Artz, previously a manager for the Saints.
