Grace Howrigon will enter her third season as an assistant coach for the Saints.
In the 2015-16 season, she was at the helm of the perfect, 19-0 season for the SHU JV team as it's head coach.
Howrigon is the Saints’ career leader in assists, finishing with 585 over her four-year career. She also has the single-season record (214), which she set in 2013-14; and the single-game record, which she claimed with 12 assists on Feb. 20, 2013, against Indiana Tech. Howrigon has the second- and third-most single-season assist totals of 206 and 131, which she accumulated in 2012-13 and 2011-12, respectively.
Howrigon’s name peppers the SHU record books in other areas as well. On the career lists, she is tied for third in three-point percentage (.351), sixth in free throws made (248), sixth in free-throw percentage (.758) and tied for sixth in three-pointers (125).
Howrigon’s senior season in 2013-14 led her to SHU’s single-season list where she is fourth in free-throw percentage (.820), fifth in three-pointers (70), fifth in three-point percentage (.398), fifth in free throws made (125) and tied for eighth in points (447). That year, she was named All-WHAC First Team and WBCA All-America Honorable Mention. She was previously an All-WHAC Honorable Mention in 2012-13.
Howrigon, a 2014 graduate of SHU, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management. In 2017, she completed her master's degree from Siena Heights in Organizational Leadership.
