Women's Track & Field Has 14 Qualify for 2018 NAIA Indoor Nationals

The Siena Heights women's track and field had 14 individuals in 10 different events in the 2018 NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championship, March 1-3, as announced on Friday.

Sheila and Tasha McKinley enter the meet with the highest NAIA ranking at second and fourth, respectively, in the pole vault.

Asia Gardner ranks fourth in the 200m dash and sixth in the 60m dash heading to the championship meet.

Also qualifying in the 200 meter dash is Mildrenae Young-Brooks. She also qualified in the 60m hurdles and the long jump.

In the weight throw, Rachel O'Neill and Courtney Taylor each qualified, ranking 11th and 24th, respectively.

Another thrower qualifying for nationals is Haley Hudson in the shot put. Triple jumper Charlena Williams also made her mark qualifying for the national meet as Julia Forbes qualified in the long jump.

The lone 400m qualifying runner is Alexis Moore.

As a team, Siena Heights qualified in the 4x400m relay. The relay team consists of Brianna Pekel, Delaney Stersic, Megan Rosales, Tyriah Pryor and Moore.
