ADRIAN, Mich. -- For the first time in over 30 years, there was wrestling inside the Siena Heights University fieldhouse when Cornerstone and Cleary visited for a tri-match on Tuesday night. The Golden Eagles and Cougars got things started with a dual against each other before the Saints made their long-awaited debut against Cornerstone. The final score favored the Golden Eagles in a 27-10 result. However, the Saints won three of the four matches they wrestled. The matchup with the Cougars was much closer as the Saints went 2-1 against Cleary and fell by only six points (24-18) in the nightcap. Siena Heights grapplers went 5-2 on the evening in matches against their opponents.

Justin Miller was 1-1 on the day, winning by major decision (15-2) over Cornerstone's Dante Wurster. Miller was defeated by Fall when he faced Jace Ellis of Cleary in the second match. Christopher Sorrow earned a 9-3 decision over Thade Radosa of Cornerstone before capping his night perfectly with a win by Fall over Alexzander Bradsher from Cleary. Luke Tuinstra earned an 11-7 decision over Cooper Mansfield before receiving six points against Cleary in a forfeit. Matthew Cepak lost a 3-2 heartbreaker to Brendan Mahar of Cornerstone before he ended the night on a high with a win by Fall against Cleary's Jacob Spiess.
