Men's Volleyball Wraps Up Regular Season With Three League Matches

Upcoming for Saints Men's Volleyball: The Saints finish up the regular season with three WHAC matches. The first is the final home game of the season for SHU when they host Aquinas on Tuesday night. The Saints then travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana for a meeting with Indiana Tech before finishing things up in Ohio against Mount Vernon Nazarene. 
 
Head Coach: Chris McKim has the Saints to a 9-5 record in his first season at the helm of the program. 
 
Saints at Home: SHU is a solid 4-2 at home this season. They are on a two-match winning streak when playing inside the SHU Fieldhouse. 
 
Away from Home: The Saints are 5-2 on the road for the 2021 campaign. Three of the team's four sweeps have happened in away matches. Siena Heights is a perfect 4-0 in matches that end in straight sets.
 
Jocking for Position: Siena currently sits in the third spot in the WHAC standings with just three matches remaining. The Saints are 3.5 games back from Lourdes and Indiana Tech who are both 9-1 in conference play. The race is tight in the 3,4,5 positions as SHU sits half a match ahead of Goshen and 1.5 ahead of Mount Vernon Nazarene. MVNU ends the season playing both SHU and Goshen this week. The Saints can finish as high as third and as low as fifth depending on how the week shakes out.
 
Approaching Milestones: Keegan Crawford is just 94 assists away from reaching 4,000 career assists. He will need to average 31.33 assists per match in order to reach the milestone. Currently, he is averaging 10.34 assists per game (31.02 assists per 3-sets, 41.36 per 4-sets, and 51.7 assists per 5-sets). 
 
Last Week Recap: SHU 3, Goshen 1
The Saints (8-5 overall, 4-4 WHAC) scored a 3-1 conference victory over Goshen Thursday, 24-26, 25-17, 25-23, 25-20. Bryce Johnson had 18 kills, Keegan Crawford 47 digs, and Joudiel Poveymirow 13 digs for SHU.

Series History: Aquinas: Siena Heights earned its first win over Aquinas on March 9, 2021, with a 3-1 victory in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The AQ Saints hold a 6-1 advantage now in the all-time series. 
 
Indiana Tech: The Saints are 2-0 all-time against the Warriors. They won the matchup in Adrian earlier this season 3-1. This will be the first meeting between the two programs in Fort Wayne, Indiana. 
 
MVNU: This will be the second meeting between the Saints and the Cougars. The first meeting took place in February when MVNU earned a 3-1 win inside the SHU Fieldhouse.
