ADRIAN, Mich. -- Delano Williams scored a team high 17 points and came down with five rebounds, in a 69-60 loss to Lawrence Tech on Saturday, January 13th.
The Saints (6-10, 3-7) found themselves down early at 23-15 with 6:10 left to go in the first half, until the Saints pulled to within three, after a Delano Williams jumpshot pulled the Saints to within three at 27-24. At half the Saints found themselves only down by two points at 31-29 after a Delano Williams block.
In the second half, Shawn Brown made a three point jumpshot to put the Saints up 32-31 to take the early second half lead. After Lawrence Tech tied the game up at 34, Delano Williams scored a layup and made the free throw to put the Saints up three at 37-34. Then Lawrence Tech went on a big run as they outscored the Saints during that stretch 21-6. However, the Saints went on a late push as Delano Williams made a layup to pull within three points at 60-57. That was until Lawrence Tech made back to back threes to ultimately seal the deal for the Blue Devils.
On the afternoon, the Saints shot 45.3% from the field, 16.7% from three, came down with 38 rebounds, and created 16 turnovers.
