Men's Basketball Falls to Rochester in WHAC Action

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team fell 59-54 to Rochester in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action, on Wednesday.

SHU started the game off strong, holding a three-point lead at halftime, 33-30. The Warriors fought back, overcoming the Saints and winning 59-54.

Leading the Saints (12-14, 7-11 WHAC) with 22 points and 12 boards was Tony Jackson II, also earning three steals. Next in points for SHU was Trevor Holston, managing nine points and grabbing five rebounds. With five assists and five points for the Saints was Kevin Smith II.

The Warriors (14-13, 8-9 WHAC) were led by Justin Nafso with 16 points as Peter Agba earned 12 points while grabbing nine boards.

Overall, the Saints shot 20-50 (40.0%) from the floor, 5-18 (27.8%) behind the arc and 9-11 (81.8%) from the free throw line. RC went 24-51 (39.3%) overall, 3-20 (15.0%) in three-point land and 8-11 (66.7%) from the charity stripe.

After a break in games this weekend, Siena Heights will return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 14, in the final home game of the regular season. Tipoff against Aquinas is set for 8 p.m.
