Second-Half Slump Leads to Men's Basketball Loss to Indiana Tech

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team suffered a 75-62 loss to Indiana Tech in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action on Wednesday at the SHU Fieldhouse.

Christian Covile had 17 points, Tyler Leighton put in 12 and George Goodman contributed 10 for the Saints (8-15, 4-11). Also, Covile, Leighton and Eric Cogan hauled down seven rebounds apiece.

SHU jumped to an early 7-0 advantage and then led 35-32 at halftime before the visiting Warriors opened the second half with a 21-6 stretch to take the lead for good.

After that, SHU twice trimmed its deficit to eight points, but was held mostly at bay for the remainder of the contest.

Franklin Lindsey had a double-double for Indiana Tech (10-14, 7-9) as he finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Chester McFadden added 18 points and Arben Camaj hauled down 10 rebounds.

The Saints will be in action next on Saturday when they visit Michigan-Dearborn for a 3 p.m. tip-off.
