Upcoming for Saints Soccer: The Saints women's soccer team host a pair of Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opponents for the 2022 Homecoming week festivities on campus. Cornerstone comes to O'Laughlin Stadium first on Wednesday before the Concordia (Mich.) Cardinals visit Friday afternoon.

Head Coach: In his 22 seasons as the head coach of the Siena Heights women's soccer program, Coach Scott Oliver has led the Saints to four Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) regular-season championships as well as five WHAC tournament titles. In this time, the Saints have also been to the NAIA tournament six times.

At Home: The Saints are 4-0 at home this season. They have outscored opponents 15-1 inside O'Laughlin Stadium.

On The Road: The Saints are 1-2-1 on the road this season. They opened 2022 with a tough test at Mount Vernon Nazarene, where they lost 3-2 after leading at the half. A similar story in the second game saw the Saints take a 1-0 lead over Thomas More before falling 2-1. A 3-0 lead over Pikeville in game three was enough to earn the team's first win, 3-1.

Stingy Defense: The Siena defense has surrendered no more than four shots on goal in the last seven games this season. The Saints have allowed only ten shots on goals at home with only one ball getting into the net.

Opponents have struggled offensively with just a .148 shooting percentage and have only managed to score more than one goal against SHU twice.

Setting the Pace: The Saints have dictated play this season, outshooting opponents 149-53 and 67-28 on goal.

Versus the Golden Eagles: The Saints own the series against Cornerstone with a record of 25-12-6. Siena Heights is 13-6-2 at home against the Golden Eagles and hold a one-game winning streak after the 2-0 win last year.

Versus the Cardinals: The Saints and Cardinals have been even since 2013 with a 5-5-1 record when they meet. Siena Heights is 3-1 at home during that period. SHU and CUAA have played twice in the WHAC tournament quarterfinals. The first was a scoreless tie that saw the Saints advance on penalty kicks in 2014. The second matchup was a 3-2 win for Siena Heights.

Saints Leaders: Marissa Young leads SHU in goals (6), points (12), and shots on goal (14). Young is also the only player to take a penalty kick this season, a kick she scored on. Emily Broman leads Siena Heights with seven assists, including an impressive four assists in the 5-1 win over IU Kokomo in the home opener. Isabel Remar has put nine of her 15 shots on goal this year. All four goalkeepers who have seen action this year have recorded a win. Katie Carver is 1-1 after 225 minutes between the pipes. She has a team-high six saves and 1.6 goals against average. Caitlyn Harwood is 2-1-1 with eight saves and 0.94 GAA. Rachel Lynch is 1-0 with three saves and a 1.00 GAA. Finally, Kendall Wise is 1-0 after 90 minutes of play. She has given up no goals and has made three saves.

Scouting Reports: Cornerstone: The Golden Eagles have two leading scorers in Amber Nicholson and Jozlyn VanTol. Both have six points with three goals scored. In addition, Chloe Dood has two goals and an assist for five points.

Hope Steenwyk has 608 minutes in net and 25 saves for Cornerstone. She has 1.33 goals against average and a win-loss record of 3-3-1.

Concordia (Mich.): The Cardinals are led by Megan Starkey, who has six points coming into this week of competition. Katelyn Aiello has a goal and an assist for three points, while Kendra Lewis has a goal to her credit.

Hayley Jacobson has 69 saves and 4.38 goals against average in her 720 minutes between the pipes.
