ADRIAN, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's soccer team scored two goals in each half on the way to a 4-1 win over Cornerstone on Wednesday night. The Saints gave up just the second goal at home this season in the winning effort.

Erin Tyson had a big night for the Saints as she scored both goals in the first half, ending Siena Heights up 2-0. Her first goal was an unassisted effort in the opening two minutes of play. The senior midfielder scored off her knee during a corner kick scramble in the box. Lily Tiplady took a shot that deflected off the keeper to Tyson, who put the ball away for the second score in the 28th minute.

The score remained there through the intermission. Isabel Remar added her fourth goal of the season after driving a ball into the net off a punch out by the CU goalie. Tiplady finally broke through with a goal from Emily Broman's excellent pass to beat the keeper right and push the SHU advantage to four scores. Cornerstone scored off a penalty kick late in the 84th minute to prevent the shutout.

Caitlyn Harwood (W, 3-1-1) made four saves to earn her third win of the season. The Saints outshot the Golden Eagles 19-7 while also having 11 corner kicks to Cornerstone's one. The Golden Eagles are the second team to have more than five shots on goal against SHU this season.

Quote From Coach: "I think we had some great individual plays and got off to a quick start. Cornerstone played well as a team, and we struggled against them defensively for a little bit. We made adjustments after that and controlled the game the second half in the defensive third."
