Women's Basketball Back in WHAC Action with UNOH, Cleary Matchups

HEAD COACH: Sue Syljebeck is in her 20th season as the head coach of the Saints women's basketball program. She is the program's winningest coach with a career record of 364-230. Syljebeck currently ranks 22nd on the NAIA Women's basketball active coach wins list. She will be assisted this year by Deb Ray, Sara Chrenko, Niesha Lowe, Mo Rammuny, Dan Brooks and Tee Watters.
 
SHU WINS THANKSGIVING TOURNEY: Tournament MVP Kayla Hinton scored 18 points as the Saints defeated Governors State, 61-45, in the SHU Thanksgiving Tournament championship game Sunday. E'Anna Won added 13 points and nine rebounds while Olivia DeLong compiled 11 points, nine rebounds and four blocks.

During Saturday's semifinals, Hinton led a quartet of Siena Heights scorers in double-figures as the Saints rolled to a 107-31 victory over Grace Christian in the opening game. Hinton scored 15 points while Jillian Gelso (14), Jam Thigpen and Gabrielle Martin (12) also hit double-figures. Won added seven rebounds and seven assists.

Hinton, Won and DeLong were named to the All-Tournament Team along with GSU's Tabetha Jones and Angelique Cowan and Washington Adventist's Sarah Shamdeen.
