ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's basketball team earned its sixth straight win, cruising to a 61-29 win over WHAC opponent Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday at the SHU Fieldhouse.

Madison Vice was the Saints' leading scorer with 12 points while Kayla Hinton had a strong all-around game with 11 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Also for SHU (6-2, 3-1), Jakarri Alven scored 10 points. Olivia DeLong grabbed eight rebounds while Eva Alcock, Brooke Rebman and E'Anna Won hauled down seven boards each.

As a team, the Saints outrebounded the Racers, 57-28, and held UNOH to 13-of-54 from the field (24.1 percent).

"Our defense continues to be a highlight for our program," Saints coach Sue Syljebeck said. "We set the tone from the start. We outrebounded our opponent as well."

Siena Heights took an early lead and never looked back, outscoring UNOH 15-4 in the first quarter. Hinton had six points in that surge. The Saints eventually took a 32-15 edge into halftime and held their lead in double-figures the rest of the way.

The Saints will return to action on Saturday with their first-ever matchup against Cleary. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. at Gannon Gymnasium at Lansing Community College.
