Men's Track and Field take 15 to Nationals

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Siena Heights men's track and field team will be taking 15 qualifying athletes down to the NAIA Track and Field National Championships beginning Thursday, March 2nd. The full schedule can be viewed here.

The 15 athletes competing during the event include: Torin Anderson, Jacob Compagner, Robert Drew, Ryan Dukes, Blaine Ellington, Joshua Jenkins, Devonte Johnson, Jared Kimmitt, Stephen Merchant, Joshua Miles, Dominic Muessig, Brent Rodden, Kyler VanWormer, Anothony Vermilye and Juwan Willis.

There are many Saints atop the rankings going into Nationals. The 4x800 meter relay team, consisting of Vermilye (SR), Muessig (SR), VanWormer (JR) and Rodden (SO), is currently placed first in the NAIA. Rodden is also ranked second in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:51.48.

Other top ten rankings are Johnson (6) in pole vault, Kimmitt (10) in pole vault, Muessig (10) in the 800 meter run, Vermilye (6) in the one mile and the 4x400 meter relay team (10).
