Men's 4x800 Relay Grabs All-American Honors at the NAIA Championships

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- The Siena Heights men's track and field 4x800m relay team raced to All-American status in the second day of NAIA Championship action, on Friday. Siena Heights earned two other top ten finishes.

The 4x800m relay team finished in third with a time of 7:41.12, following Cardinal Stritch who claimed first in 7:37.97 and Indiana ech in secondat 7:39.12. The Saints finished the preliminary heat in 7:38.36. the relay team consisted of Anthony Vermilye, Kyler VanWormer, Dominic Muessig and Brent Rodden.

Finishing in ninth for the Saints was Juwan Willis in the high jump, clearing the bar at 2.01 meters.

Jacob Compagner took tenth in the weight throw with a distance of 17.81m (58 feet, 5 1/4 inches).

The Saints will be back in action tomorrow with finals in the following events: men's pole vault, men's 800m run and the 5000 meter run.
