Men's Basketball Hosts #1 Cornerstone and Mid-Atlantic Christian

The Siena Heights men's basketball team faces three opponents during Thanksgiving Week, starting with Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opponent, 1st-ranked Cornerstone on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Next, SHU will host Mid-Atlantic Christian (N.C.) on Friday at 2 p.m. followed by an exhibition contest at University of Detroit Mercy on Saturday at 2 p.m.

SHU enters this week with a 2-2 overall record and 1-1 WHAC record, defeating Concordia while falling to Indiana Tech by three points.

After losing their first two contests of the year, the Golden Eagles have been on a five-game winning-streak, including victories over No. 2 Union (Ky.) (the defending National Champions) and No. 3 Saint Francis (Ind.). CU enters the contest against SHU with a 5-2 overall record and 1-0 in the WHAC, defeating Concordia.

The MACU Mustangs start the season with a 3-4 overall record. NCAA Div. I opponent Detroit Mercy holds a 2-2 record, recently defeating WHAC member Michigan-Dearborn, 105-82.

Next week, Siena Heights will host Rochester on Wednesday for the Annual Hunger Game. The women's and men's double-header is set for a 6 p.m. opening tipoff. Saturday, Dec. 2, the men will open another double-header featuring Michigan-Dearborn, tipoff at 3 p.m.
