GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's cross country team ran in the WHAC Championships hosted by Aquinas College on Friday afternoon. The Saints finished 5th out of 8 teams with a team score of 114, a team time of 1:4:31, and a team average time of 20:54.28.
Xochitl Garcia was honored with WHAC Second Team All-Conference as she led SHU with a time of 19:26.29 and placed 11th overall. Emily Monroe finished second on the team with a time of 20:34.70 for 20th place. Rachel Wiltse was honored with WHAC All-Academic and the representative on the Champions of Character Team as she was third on the team for 23rd place with a time of 21:03.26. Brianna Martin was fourth on the team as she placed 27th with a time of 21:17.41. Alexis Cordle rounded out the SHU top five finishers with a time of 22:09.74 finishing 33rd overall. Lempi Luoma and Morgan Turk were also honored on the WHAC All-Academic Team.
