Four SHU Women's Volleyball Players Named 2018 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY -- SHU seniors Taylor Felver and Christine Tylutki were joined by juniors Rebekah Collier and Anna Tartarian on the 2018 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete list the national office announced.

Felver is the only Saint returning to the list from last season. The four Siena Heights athletes were among the 47 total student-athletes on the list from the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC). There were a total of 597 student-athletes chosen as scholar-athletes for 2018. 

In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.

Lawrence Tech led all WHAC members with 11 scholar-athletes on the list. Rochester was second with eight selections followed by Indiana Tech and UNOH with five. Both Saints (SHU & Aquinas) tied with four while Concordia (Mich.) and Lourdes boasted three. Cornerstone and Michigan-Dearborn finished off the conference honors with one selection each.
