Saints' Women's Volleyball Falls At Aquinas

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss to Aquinas in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Wednesday.

Halie Baker had eight kills while Brianna Baker contributed seven for SHU, which dropped sets of 25-20, m25-17, 25-21.

Carly Tillotson
added 14 assists and 10 digs, Nicole Morgan made 22 digs and Brianna Baker contributed 10 digs for Siena Heights (13-12, 6-4).

MacKenzie Kolstad led Aquinas (21-8, 6-4) with 11 kills and 10 digs. Molly Maynard added 10 kills while Nicci Thomas finished with 28 assists.

Siena Heights will wrap up its regular season when it visits fourth-ranked Madonna for a 7 p.m. match on Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Currently, SHU is tied for fourth in the WHAC standings and in competition for a first-round WHAC Tournament bye; the Saints will likely need an upset of the Crusaders to keep those hopes alive.

In the event of missing out on fourth place in the WHAC, the Saints would host a first round match in the conference tournament.
