Fugate Named WHAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

Siena Heights Women's Track & Field student-athlete Tyler Fugate has been named the WHAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 15th, 2023.

Fugate, a senior pole vaulter from Tecumseh, Michigan won the pole vault at the SVSU Classic on January 13th with a vault of 3.75m.

Fugate's vault surpassed the NAIA automatic qualifying mark for the National Championship Meet by 0.23 meters.  Fugate is currently the top qualifier in the NAIA for the National Championship Meet which will take place in Brookings, South Dakota, March 2-4, 2023.
