Lourdes and Women's Soccer Draws 2-2 in WHAC Contest

SYLVANIA, Ohio -- The Siena Heights women's soccer team earned a 2-2 draw against Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opponent Lourdes, on Wednesday.

Lourdes (5-5-2, 1-3-1 WHAC) opened the scoring as Remy Houttekier converted a pentaly kick in the 18th-minute. Clare Ciarlino finished a shot from the left corner of the 18-yard box to put the Gray Wolves up 2-0.

Kathryn Gordon netted the first Saints' goal in the 76th-minute as she finished a pass from Ashley Strong. Samantha Bartelotti scored the tying goal in the 86th-minute, finishing a pass from Gordon inside the box.

Siena Heights (6-5-2, 3-1-2 WHAC) outshot LU 29-12, the Saints led by Bartelotti who took seven shots. Leading Lourdes with five shots each was Houttekier and Ciarino.

Meghan Bogg started in net for the Saints' stopping five shots prior to being relieved in the 69th-minute by Taylor Hill, who stopped one shot for SHU. Kiley Transit made 12 saves for the Gray Wolves.

THe Saints will return to action Saturday for the 2017 Homecoming contest set for 2:30 p.m. against WHAC foe Cornerstone.
