The Siena Heights women's soccer team is set for two Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contests against Lourdes (Ohio) and Cornerstone. On Wednesday, the Saints will take on Lourdes in a 4 p.m. contest at Wildcat Stadium in Sylvania, Ohio. The Siena Heights Homecoming match is set for Saturday at 2:30 p.m. against Cornerstone.
SHU is currently 6-5-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the WHAC after a successful 2-0 week with two shutouts over Aquinas and Michigan-Dearborn.
The hosting Gray Wolves are 5-5-1 overall while holding a 1-3-1 conference slate. Last time the Saints and LU met, SHU won 3-0 with goals from Alexis Gainer and Samantha Bartelotti as LU also scored an own goal. Meghan Bogg made two saves to earn the clean sheet.
CU holds a 6-4-2 record and sits at 2-2-1 in the WHAC, losses coming from Madonna and Concordia. Last season, the Saints defeated the Golden Eagles 3-0, Emily Burkman, Danielle Eastman and Taylor Mulder scoring in the match as Taylor Hill made four saves for the win.
About halfway through conference play, Siena Heights sits in third behind NAIA 3rd-ranked Northwestern Ohio and Indiana Tech.
