ADRIAN, Mich. -- Noah Comar won a pair of matches on Thursday night as the Siena Heights men's wrestling team split two Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contests at the SHU Fieldhouse. The Saints fell to Lourdes, 30-17, before earning the first WHAC dual win in school history against Cleary, 36-4.
Comar wrestled at two different weight classes, starting at 141 pounds against Lourdes. He earned an 18-2 technical fall over James Balazy. Against Cleary, Comar pinned Anthony Wilson 48 seconds into the 149-pound match. Only two weight classes were officially contested in the Cleary match with Comar coming out with the only win on the mat.
Randy Frailey, Kynan Savoie and Jaylen Culver also had wins on the mat against LU. Frailey won a 16-0 tech fall against Trevor Hisey at 133, Savoie earned an 11-2 major decision over Nolan Pickles at 157 and Culver outworked Joe Dreisbach for a 7-3 decision at 285.
The Saints will be in action again on Saturday, Jan. 21, at the Alma Open.
