The Siena Heights men's wrestling team dropped a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference dual against Rochester 36-7 on Friday.
Zachary LaPlante started the Saints off with a 12-6 win at 125 pounds, but Siena Heights' final win of the dual would be Dylan McLean's major decision win 16-6 at 149 pounds.
"I thought we let a couple of matches get away from us early in the dual and it stifled the team's momentum," said Head Coach Derrik Marry. "There were glimpses of great stuff in a few individual matches. Overall, we need to do a better job rising to the occasion and feeding off the hostile crowd."
The Saints fall to 2-6 overall and 0-2 in the WHAC.
Siena Heights is back in action on Sunday at 3 p.m. in a cross-town rivalry dual against Adrian College in what has been dubbed the battle for the Maple City Cup.
