Adrian, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's lacrosse team beat conference opponent Lourdes this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Lourdes opened up the game with three straight goals to take a early 3-0 lead. SHU would then respond quickly as they scored four goals in a row. Samantha Pawlowski scored the first two goals then Katherine Tapia added a goal with 9 minutes left in the game. Natalie Williams added another goal to put the Saints up 4-3. The Grey Wolves tied the game up with 9:06 left to play in the half. Siena got the lead back when Tapia scored followed by a goal from Jenna Sommerville to put the score at 6-4.
After a hour and twenty seven minute lightning delay, Lourdes came out and scored two goals to tie the game at six. Then all within three minutes, Sommerville scored four goals in a row to put SHU up 10-6 heading into halftime.
During the second half there wasn't as much scoring. Lourdes started the half with three goals to make it a one goal game. Then Pawlowski and Sommerville both added goals to extend the lead and secure a Saints victory.
