Warfield's Hot Shooting Helps #22 Women's Hoops Past Lourdes on Senior Day

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Morgan Warfield buried six 3-pointers and finished with 19 points as the 22nd-ranked Siena Heights men's basketball team celebrated Pink Day and Senior Day with a 73-45 victory over Lourdes (Ohio) in Saturday's Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action at the SHU Fieldhouse.

Mackenzie Tomasik added 16 points and five rebounds while Sierra Calhoun put in 15 points for the Saints (22-6, 16-4), who erupted for a 25-point run in the first half.

Also for SHU, Ebony Harvey finished with seven assists and five rebounds. Alexxis Knannlein dished six assists.

Siena Heights trailed, 13-8, before scoring 25 consecutive points to take a 33-15 lead. Warfield got the Saints started with a pair of three-pointers while Tomasik had eight points during the stretch. The visiting Gray Wolves (8-20, 4-16) went 8:43 without a basket.

The host Saints took a 37-20 advantage into halftime. A pair of seven-point runs were highlights of a second half in which SHU held a comfortable lead.

Jesse Fidler led the way for Lourdes with 10 points and five rebounds.

As a team, Siena Heights shot 29 of 53 from the field (54.7 percent), including 7 of 14 from three-point land (50.0 percent). The Wolves were 16 of 52 (30.8 percent) and 1 of 11 (9.1 percent), respectively.

The Saints will be in action next on Wednesday when they host Lawrence Tech in a 6 p.m. WHAC contest.
