Coach Klutsarits enters her 19th season as the Siena Heights Coach. Before her time as a Saint, Klutsarits was at Keystone College in Pennsylvania. There she was Associate Athletic Director, Head Softball Coach and Head Women’s Soccer Coach. She started her coaching career as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach and Assistant Softball Coach at St. Ambrose University.

 

In her 24 years of coaching, she has coached eight All-Americans, 99 All-Conference Players, one conference player of the year, one conference pitcher of the year, 112 Academic All-Americans, and 139 Academic All-Conference Players. In the 16 years, the NAIA has had a team scholar award, Klutsarits’ teams have earned the honor fifteen times, including a 3.45 team GPA in 2012-2013, 3.56 team GPA in 2014-15, a 3.64 team GPA in 2015-16, a 3.69 team GPA in 2016-17, a 3.59 team GPA in 2017-18, a 3.45 team GPA in 2018-2019, a 3.34 team GPA in 2019-2020, a 3.61 team GPA in 2020-21 a 3.55 team GPA in 2021-2022, and a 3.68 team GPA in 2022-2023.  The Saints were honored by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) in 2015-16 and 2016-17 as the top academic team in the NAIA.  In 2012-13, 2014-15, 2017-18, 2020-21, and 2021-22 the NFCA honored the Saints with an award for placing in the top ten schools in the NAIA for their team GPA on the academic year.  During her tenure at Siena Heights, her teams have earned a 3.41 GPA.

 

In 2019, Klutsarits led the Saints to a WHAC Tournament Championship and berth into the NAIA National Tournament.  It was the first time the Saints advanced beyond the conference tournament since 1996.  Their 35 wins in 2019 were tied for the second most in school history.

 

Klutsarits was the Midwest Classic Coach of the Year in 2001 and the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference Coach of Character in 2007, 2009, 2010 & 2013.

 

Klutsarits has served as the WHAC Softball Chair and has served as the Northeastern Athletic Conference Softball Chair.  She is also the 1st Vice President of the NAIA Softball Coaches Association.  For the past 15 years, she has served on the NAIA Softball Tournament Committee as well.  Currently, Klutsarits is on the national oversight committee for the NAIA national rankings and is a part of the NAIA Softball National Championship Selection Committee.  She has also served on several committees within the NFCA including the nominating committee and hall of fame committee.

 

Klutsarits is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from St. Ambrose University in 1999 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management. In 2001, she earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from St. Ambrose. During her playing career, she garnered All-Conference accolades for her play on the softball field in both 1996 and 1999. She was also named as an All-Conference Goalkeeper in 1997. Off of the field, she has been recognized as an NAIA Academic All-American for both soccer and softball. In 2000, she was an integral part of the St. Ambrose team that went to the NAIA National Tournament.

 

In her time at Siena Heights, Klutsarits amassed 359 wins, surpassing the previous high career win total of 271 during the 2019 season.  She ranks third on the Siena Heights All-Time softball winning percentage list. At the conclusion of the 2016 season, Klutsarits has been at the helm longer than any other coach in SHU history.  Her overall coaching record stands at 372-479-1.  Besides coaching softball, she also serves as the Saints Assistant Sports Information Director and is part of the Siena Heights Hall of Fame Committee.
