Upcoming for the Saints: The Siena Heights softball team prepares for three WHAC doubleheaders this week. First, the team will take the short trip across state lines to face Lourdes in Sylvania, Ohio on Wednesday before returning home for the home-opening games against Cornerstone on  Saturday. The week is complete with a home doubleheader against Aquinas on Sunday.

Head Coach: Laura Klutsarits enters her 16th season with the Saints. Klutsarits has the most wins in program history with 318. She achieved her  300th win in the WHAC tournament semifinals with a 5-3 win over Indiana Tech.

Defending Champions: The Saints are the defending WHAC Tournament champions as they won the 2019 championship. Siena used wins over Cleary (4-0), Indiana Tech (5-3), and UNOH (6-4) to win the title.

No Spring Break Trip: Traditionally, the Saint softball program has taken a trip to Arizona or Florida during Spring Break, however, due to COVID,  those trips were canceled this year. In place of the trip are two weekends of travel for the team. This weekend wraps up the unconventional "Spring  Games."

WHAC Pitcher of the Week: Junior pitcher Kelsey Uhl was named the WHAC softball pitcher of the week by the league office on March 15.

Jordan Green was the WHAC pitcher of the Week on April 5.

On The Road: The Saints have played all 16 games away from home so far during 2021. They are 10-6 currently in road contests. Home Sweet Home: Siena Heights softball will be playing in its first home games on Saturday, April 10 for the first time since April 24, 2019. The Saints played 12 games in 2020, all on the road before the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The last time the Saints were at home, they split with Madonna by losing game one, 2-1, and winning 4-1 in game two.

Last Time Out: Saints Split at UNOH
The Siena Heights softball team split with UNOH on Saturday with a game one loss of 6-5 and a win of 6-2 in game two. Jordan Green struck out 11
batters in game two to lead the Saints in the winning game.

The Saints led 3-1 going into the bottom of the 3rd-inning before the Racers tallied five runs in the bottom half to take the lead and never relinquished
it. Siena scored one run in the fourth and another in the seventh to cut the advantage to one run, but UNOH held out for the win.

The Racers took a 1-0 lead in the opening inning of game two. Siena used a five-run outing in the fifth to pull ahead 5-1. UNOH scored in the bottom half to come three runs from the lead. The final run came in the sixth from the Saints.
