The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes. The Siena Heights Men's Cross Country Program had four student-athletes earn this distinction.
In order to be nominated for the NAIA Scholar-Athlete, an individual must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year.
Earning the award for the Saints was:
Gabriel Iott (1st time), sophomore, biology major from Petersburg, Michigan
Tyler Landis (1st time), junior, business major from Homer, Michigan
Nethanel Leupold (2nd time), junior, biology major from Madison, Michigan
Jacob Sand (2nd time), senior, pre-med major from Macomb, Michigan
