Siena Heights men's cross country Junior Liam Heaney was tabbed the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the league office today. 

Heaney was the top SHU finisher for third place overall at the Jayhawk Invitational this past week by finishing the 8K course in 25:47. He was the top NAIA finisher and helped the Saints to a second-place finish with a team score of 40 points.

This is the first WHAC Men's Runner of the Week award of the season for the Saint program and the first of Heaney's career.

Heaney leads the Saints back into action Saturday, October 26, at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
