Three Siena Heights cross country members were recognized as Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the NAIA today.
The honorees include seniors Kyler Vanwormer, Anthony Vermilye and Timothy Young. All three athletes were also recognized as Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Scholar-Athletes.
Vanwormer majors in mechanical engineering. Majoring in business is both Vermilye and Young.
In order to be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status. A total of 222 men were recognized.
