ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's volleyball team secured a 3-1 win over Mount Vernon Nazarene during WHAC action at the SHU Fieldhouse on Friday. Set scores were 25-21, 26-28, 25-16, 25-21.

Daniel Rua led the Saints (10-8, 5-5) with 16 kills and Jonathan Stovring finished with 13 kills and four blocks

Dominic Rees added 10 kills, five blocks and two aces. Zak Tucker made 40 assists and 10 digs. Andrew Sliwinski was in on four blocks.

The teams split the first and second set, which featured 13 and 14 ties, respectively.

In the first, SHU was down 18-17 before finishing the set on an 8-3 run.

During the second, the Saints held set point twice -- at 24-23 and 25-24 -- before MVNU tied the match with a 4-1 finish.

The Saints built large leads in the third and fourth sets and held off the Cougars (4-15, 2-9) each time.

SHU broke a 10-all tie in the third with a 6-0 run and, later, added a 5-0 run.

In the fourth, Siena Heights trailed 12-11 before taking the lead for good wiht a 5-0 stretch.

The Saints will return to action Saturday with a 3 p.m. WHAC match at Indiana Tech.
