Four Saints Competed at the NAIA Indoor Championships

BROOKINGS, S.D. -- The Siena Heights Men's Indoor Track & Field team had four athletes compete at the NAIA National Championships on March 5th-7th at Dakota State University. Since no one finished eighth or higher in their respective events an All-American award was not received for the Saints men's team.

Davion Curry (Junior, Detroit, Mich.) finished 15th in the long jump with a distance of 6.63 meters. Jefferson Edwards (Sophomore, Toledo, Ohio) competed in the shot put and placed 22nd with a heave of 16.28 meters. Zach Kunst (Senior, Grand Rapids, Mich.) also competed in the shot put with a distance of 15.55 meters for 27th place. Naythan Haslam (Sophomore, Wyndotte, Mich.) was the final SHU men's competitor. He finished 23rd in the 400-meter dash preliminaries with a time of 50.05 seconds.

The Saints will transition to the outdoor season and return to competition on Saturday, March 28 in the Davenport Invitational in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
