SHU Men's Track and Field Finishes 2nd in WHAC Outdoor Championships

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's track and field team finished the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) outdoor track and field championships with 141 points for second place in the team standings.

Brent Rodden finished the 800-meter run with a B-standard time of 1:52.56 to win the event. The men's 4x800 relay team consisting of William Jackson, Jareb Duggan, Rodden, and Jordan Parkinson won the event with a time of 7:48.47 to finish first. Keith Jordan Jr. won the high jump by clearing the bar at 2.15m (7' 0.5"), an A-standard mark, for a spot on the first team All-WHAC. Robert Drew won the discus (50.81m [166' 8"]) and finished second in the shot put (16.21m [53' 2.25"]) to earn a place on the first and second team all-conference. Zachary Kunst rounded out the group of Saint winners with a 51.48m (166' 8") throw in the hammer to win. He was also second in the discus (48.21m [158' 2"]) and third in the javelin (44.98m [147' 7"]) to earn a spot on all three All-WHAC teams.

The 4x400 relay team of Naythan Haslam, Garret Young, Rodden, and Robert Milton finished second with a time of 3:19.27 to put those four athletes on the second-team All-WHAC squad. Rees Nemeth cleared the pole vault bar at 4.35m (14' 3.25") to finish second place. Michael March was on the honorable mention All-WHAC list after a third-place finish in the hammer with a heave of 47.91m (157' 2").
