Men's Indoor Track and Field Season Recap

The Siena Heights mens indoor track and field team finished the season at the2018 Indoor NAIA Track and Field National Championships with three All-Americans and placing fourth at the 2018 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championships

Outstanding performers for the Saints this year included Jacob Compagner, Robert Drew, Devonte Johnson, and Brent Rodden. Rodden earned All-American status for the the 800m dash, Johnson for the pole vault, and Compagner for the weight throw.

In the 800m run, Rodden finished in second place at 1:51.26. He was named the runner-up only .05 seconds behind winner Isaac Clark from Friends (Kan.). Devonte Johnson took third place in the pole vault, clearing 4.90m. Compagner's first throw was his best, reaching the 19.10m mark to earn sixth place and All-American status.

 

Saints earning WHAC All-Academic honors were Robert Drew, William Jackson, Brent Rodden and Kyler Van Wormer.

 

The SHU Champion of Character recipient was Jacob Compagner.

 

The Saints continue into the outdoor season and is set to host the Don Kleinow Invitational on Apr. 20 at the O'Laughlin Stadium
