Upcoming for Saints Men's Soccer Team: The Saints will look to end their non-conference schedule on a high-note Wednesday, September 21 as they face Spring Arbor University on the road. Conference play begins on Saturday, September 24th when SHU travels to Lima, Ohio to take on #11 University of Northwestern Ohio. The Saints will host 6 home matches during the regular season. Head Coach: Andrew (Drew) Crawford enters his fifth season as the head coach of the Siena Heights men's soccer team. Crawford was named to the NAIA All-America Team in 1987 and 1988, was NAIA All-Region in 1986, 1987, and 1988, and was NAIA All-District in 1985, 1986, 1987, and 1988. Following his four years at SHU, Crawford had a 10-year professional career including two seasons in which he was a National Professional Soccer League all-star.

At Home: The Saints hold an overall record of 31-44-12 at home since 2011 and a WHAC record of 13-32-10 in O'Laughlin Stadium. SHU will not host a game at O'Laughlin Stadium until October 1st, when the Saints take on Concordia University (Ann Arbor) on Homecoming weekend.

On the Road: The Saints will be traveling for both games this week starting with a road trip to Spring Arbor on Wednesday, September 21 for a 7:00 kickoff. The Saints will end their road trip for the week by heading to face #11 University of Northwestern Ohio on Saturday, September 24 at 4:30 P.M.

The Team: The SHU men's soccer team returns multiple starters from the 2021 season, including Sophomore Nolan Chaput. The Canton, Michigan native held two goals for the Saints and one assist last season, totaling seven points, and will return wearing the #13 jersey. In addition, Marcelo Rocha, a Junior from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, who tallied two goals and four points last season, returns to the Siena's starting lineup.

Senior Timm Castro returns for his final year after boasting one goal and one assist last year alongside Junior Wilhem Weissheimer, who also put up one goal and one assist. Rounding out the returners list is Senior goalkeeper Jacob Wojciechowski who recorded 960:24 in goal for the Saints with a .663 save percentage. Wojciechowski was also a member of the Championships of Character Team and the WHAC All-Academic team during the 2021 season.

Last Week Recap: The Saints took their bye-week to recover from back-to-back weekend-long road trips and prepare for two road tests for the upcoming week.

Series History:

Spring Arbor - In their lone meeting in 2019, the Saints lost 4-0 to Spring Arbor.

University of Northwestern Ohio (UNOH) - Since joining the conference in 2012, the Racers of University of Northwestern Ohio hold an undefeated record against the Saints with last years game ending in a 6-0 defeat in favor of the Racers.
