Siena Heights All-Decade Series: Men’s Lacrosse

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights Athletics Department will be announcing an all-decade team for every SHU athletic team to finish out the year 2020. Each all-decade squad will feature a starting lineup consisting of the best athletes at each position from the past 10 seasons. 

This edition features Siena Heights men's lacrosse program. The all-decade team features the best student-athletes who have competed on the SHU men's lacrosse team in the past decade.

Siena Heights Men's Lacrosse All-Decade Roster

Ryan Mailloux, Goalie – Mailloux earned many accolades during his time at Siena Heights. He was named MCLA 1st-Team All-America in 2014-15 and was an honorable mention for that award in 2012-13. During the 2013 season, he was also named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) defensive player of the year along with a 1st-team All-WHAC nod. 

Records: Career: 1st:  ground balls (167), saves (722), saves per game (12.03), save percentage (.672), wins (43) / 2nd  goals against average (9.10), minutes played (2,123) / 3rd: games played (61) / Season: 1st: save percentage (.772, 2013), goals against average (6.10, 2013), wins (13, 2015) / 2nd: saves (207, 2013), save percentage (.671, 2015), wins (12, 2012 & 2013) / 3rd: saves per game (13.80, 2013).

Tom Kreitzer, Attack – Kreitzer was named 3rd-team MCLA All-America in 2014-15 and was also a 1st-Team All-WHAC and MCLA all-conference recipient while he played for the Saints. 

Records: Career: 1st: man-up goals (13) / Season: 1st: man-up goals (8, 2014) / 3rd: goals per game (2.50, 2014), shots on goal per game (4.43, 2014).

Shane Lewandowski, Attack – Lewandowski earned 2nd-Team All-WHAC twice (2017, 2018) and 3rd-Team MCLA all-conference during his time at Siena Heights.

Records: Career: 1st: points (182), goals (130) / 2nd: goals per game (2.32) / 3rd: points per game (3.25), shots attempted (258), shots on goal (181) / Season: 1st: goals per game (2.90, 2017) / 2nd: points per game (4.80, 2017), assists per game (1.90, 2017) / 3rd: goals (36, 2016), goals per game (2.50, 2018).

Garnet Potter, Attack – Potter is one of two current members of the SHU men's lacrosse team that made the all-decade starting lineup.

Records: Career: 3rd: assists per game (1.36), man-down goal (1) / Season: 1st: man-down goals (1, 2018), games started (16, 2018) / 3rd: minutes played (775, 2018). 

Spencer Macek, Offensive Mid-Field – Macek was a 1st-Team All-WHAC member in 2012-13 and 2nd-Team MCLA all-conference in 2012-13 and 2015-16. 

Records: Career: 1st: points (182), assists (77), shots attempted (342), shots on goal (217), man-up goals (13), games played (64) / 2nd: goals (105) / 3rd: shots per game (5.34), ground balls (148), caused turnovers (36), man-down goals (1), games started (39) / Season: 1st: assists (31, 2016), shots attempted (122, 2013), man-down goals (1, 2013), games played (20, 2016) / 2nd: points (64, 2016), shots on goal (74, 2016), shots per game (8.71, 2013), shots on goal per game (4.86, 2013), man-up goals (6, 2016) / 3rd: shots on goal (68, 2013).

Jake Gallaher, Offensive Mid-Field – Gallaher is another current member of the SHU men's lacrosse team on the list. He had a phenomenal 2019 season with an NAIA 2nd-Team All-America selection and 1st-Team All-WHAC honor. He is currently leading in numerous career average records including points per game, goals per game, assists per game, shots per game, ground balls per game, caused turnovers per game.

Records: Season: 1st: points (66, 2019), points per game (5.08, 2019), assists per game (2.23, 2019), shots per game (9.23, 2019), shots on goal per game (5.00, 2019), ground balls (81, 2019), ground balls per game (6.23, 2019) / 2nd: goals (37, 2019), goals per game (2.85), assists (29, 2019), shots attempted (120, 2019), man-up goals (6, 2019) / 3rd: caused turnovers per game (1.54, 2019).

Danny Orr, Offensive Mid-Field – Orr earned 2nd-Team NAIA All-America in 2017-18 and 3rd-Team MCLA All-America in 2015-16. During the 2017-18 season, Orr was named 1st-Team All-WHAC.

Records: Career: 2nd: shots attempted (281), shots on goal (183) / 3rd: goals (98), man-down goals (1) / Season: 1st: goals (38, 2016), shots on goal (75, 2016), man-down goals (1, 2015), games played (20, 2018) / 3rd: points (62, 2016), assists (24, 2016).

Mark Ward, Faceoff – Ward achieved an honorable mention MCLA All-America award in 2016. He was named 2nd-Team MCLA all-conference in 2016.

Records: Career: 1st: games played (64) / 2nd: faceoff W-L percentage (.572, 347-607) / Season: 1st: faceoff W-L percentage (.677, 2016) / 3rd: ground balls (61, 2016).

Kevin Kennedy, Defensive Mid-Field – Kennedy earned All-WHAC honorable mention in 2015 as well as MCLA all-conference honorable mention that same season. He was also a two-time WHAC All-Academic (2014, 2016).

Records: Career: 1st: faceoff W-L percentage (.639, 62-97) / Season: 3rd: faceoff W-L percentage (.645, 60-93).

Parker Richards, Defensive Mid-Field – Richards earned 2nd-Team All-WHAC in 2018 and was a two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete (2019, 2020) and WHAC All-Academic (2019, 2020).

Records: Season: 1st: games started (16, 2018) / 3rd: minutes played (775, 2018).

Jordan Martin, Defense – Martin was named 1st-Team All-WHAC twice (2013, 2014) and 1st-Team MCLA all-conference (2013). He also earned All-WHAC honorable mention and 3rd-Team MCLA all-conference.

Records: Career: 1st: causes turnovers (73), games started (48) / 2nd: ground balls (159) / Season: 1st: caused turnovers (29, 2012), caused turnovers per game (1.93, 2012).

Josh Abruzzo, Defense – Abruzzo is a two-time MCLA 1st-Team All-America (2015, 2016). He was also a 1st-Team MCLA all-conference twice (2015, 2016), 2nd-Team MCLA all-conference (2013-14).

Records: Career: 1st: caused turnovers (73) / 2nd: ground balls per game (3.85) / Season: 1st: minutes played (791, 2016) / 2nd: ground balls per game (4.00, 2014) / 3rd: caused turnovers (24, 2016).

Patrick Albant, Defense – Albrant was named 2nd-Team All-WHAC in 2017. He earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete in 2018 and was a two-time WHAC All-Academic honoree in 2017 and 2018

Records: Career: 1st: minutes played (2,464) / 2nd: games started (44).

Michael Birt III, Long-Stick Mid-Field – Birt III earned 1st-Team All-WHAC (2018) and was an MCLA all-conference honorable mention (2016).

Records: Season: 1st: games started (16, 2018) / 3rd: minutes played (775, 2018).
