Forest Runner-Up, Ross Ties for Fourth as Men's Golf Places Third at WHAC Championships

KENTWOOD, Mich. -- Joe Forest placed second and Parker Ross tied for fourth to lead the Siena Heights men's golf team to a third-place finish at the WHAC Championships, which took place at Stonewater Country Club on Wednesday and Thursday.

Forest carded a three-round total of 226 (74-70-82) while Ross shot a 229 (80-76-73) for the Saints, who compiled a team score of 932 (315-303-314).

Davenport's Jorge Benitez was the tournament medalist, finishing with a 224 (78-72-74) on the 6,754-yard, par-71 course. Madonna won the team championships (915) and Davenport placed second (917).

Also for Siena Heights, Nick Campbell tied for 25th with a 241 (79-79-83). Collin Smith was 33rd with a 250 (86-86-78) while Tim Combs (91-83-81) and Josh Short (82-78-95) tied for 34th with 255s.

Following MU, DU and SHU in the standings were, in order, Northwestern Ohio (937), Cornerstone (939), Indiana Tech (954), Lourdes (973), Aquinas (1,005), Concordia (1,096) and Marygrove (1,159). A total of 57 golfers competed.
