
ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team defeated Concordia in WHAC action on Wednesday, 58-48.
Jonas Tester led the Saints with 13 points along with two assists and two steals. George Kalatzis and Nate Houston III each scored in double-figures with 10 points respectively. On the glass, George Kalatzis and Danilo Rajlic each led the Saints rebounding with eight boards each.
SHU 7-19 (4-14) held a 35-24 lead at haltime after a stellar first-half defensive performance forcing nine first-half turnovers. In the second half, SHU jumped out to a 14-point lead after Kalatzis hit a three-point jumper to take the largest lead of the game at 38-24. Concordia then responded on a 18-10 spurt in a span of 11:53 to cut the deficit to six points at 48-42 with 7:12 remaining. The Saints then responded coming out of the timeout to surge on a 10-2 run to seal the deal.
On the evening, the Saints shot 42.1% from the floor, 28.6% from three, and outrebounded Concordia 36-34.
The Saints will return to action on Tuesday, Feb. 18, with a 7:30 p.m. EST game at Cleary.
