Men's Basketball's Late Rally Falls Short to Cornerstone

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team fell to WHAC conference opponent Cornerstone, 67-65 on Saturday. 

Jonas Tester led the Saints in scoring with 16 points while tallying four steals. Also scoring in double-figures for the Saints were Kobe Clark and George Kalatzis. Kalatzis recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds while Clark added 10 points along with six rebounds. 

SHU 5-12 (2-7) trailed by nine points at halftime 34-25 after Cornerstone finished the half on a 15-6 scoring run in back and forth action. 

The Saints started the second half on a 7-0 run to tie the game at 34-34 but could never regain the lead. 

On the afternoon, the Saints shot 41.0% from the floor and 31.6% from behind the three-point line. 

The Saints will return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 15, with a 7:30 p.m. EST game at Lourdes.
