
ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team fell to WHAC conference opponent Madonna, 82-66 on Saturday at Fred Smith Court.
Off the bench, George Kalatzis led the Saints with 25 points and seven rebounds. Kobe Clark and Danilo Rajlic also found themselves scoring in double-figures. Clark scored 14 points with three rebounds, three steals, and three assists, while Rajlic scored 10 points with three rebounds.
SHU 5-10 (2-5) saw themselves down at halftime 44-27 after a hot shooting performance from Madonna in the first half. The Crusaders shot 54.8% from the field and 50.0% from behind the three point line.
In the second half, the Saints came back into the game with a 27-10 spurt in the first 9:56 in the second half after George Kalatzis tied the game up with a three point play. After the Saints tied the game, Madonna pulled away outscoring the Saints 28-12 in the final 10:04 of game action to win 82-66.
On the afternoon, the Saints shot 40.4% from the floor and 33.3% from behind the three point line.
The Saints will return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 8, with a 7:30 p.m. EST game at Concordia.
