Men's Basketball's Comeback Falls Short to Spring Arbor

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's basketball team's comeback efforts fell short to non-conference opponent Spring Arbor, 64-59 on Tuesday. 

George Kalatzis led the Saints with 17 points and five rebounds. Kobe Clark also scored in double-figures for the Saints with 14 points and five assists. 

SHU 5-9 (2-4) found themselves down 12 at halftime 40-28 after a buzzer-beater three point shot by Spring Arbor to end the first half. 

In the second half, the Saints started their comeback efforts as they started out the second half on a 12-4 run in the first 4:26 of the half. The Saints kept pace the rest of the way as the Saints did pull to within one possession after George Kalatzis made a layup with 14 seconds left. 

On the afternoon, the Saints shot 42.1% from the floor and 36.8% from behind the three point line. 

The Saints will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 4, with a 1:00 p.m. EST game at home vs WHAC conference opponent, Madonna.
