Mitch Osadchuk (Coach Oz) enters his fifth season coaching the Defensive Backs and third season leading the Special Teams.

In the Fall of 2022, the Siena Heights defense broke a combined 15 school records. The defense ranked #3 in the nation in Rush YPG (58.1) and #5 in Total Defense (234.0). Although a young DB group, SHU produced another First-Team MSFA-East corner/safety in Armand Childs. The special teams units continued to shine also, with Anthony Secchi being recognized as First-Team All MSFA-East as a kicker. Secchi led the FG unit that ranked #1 in the country in PAT percentage (100%). The 2022 Cliff Harris award winner (LB Kole Murlin) was used on many of the ST units, as his presence was a force to be reckoned with.

In the Fall of 2021, the Siena Heights defense was stout, ranking #4 nationally in Total Defense (262.9 YPG) and #8 in Scoring Defense (15.8 PPG). For the third consecutive year, Morrow was awarded First-Team MSFA-East. Safety Gabriel Callery was also awarded First-Team, while cornerback Khoreice Crawford was named to the Second-Team. The special teams units excelled as well, with wide receiver Eric Williams II being one of the top returners in the country (28.2 YPR) and kicker Anthony Secchi breaking the school record for Field Goals Made in a Saints season (12 FGM). In addition, the Field Goal unit ranked #1 in the country in FGM percentage (86.7%) and #4 in FGM (12). Anthony Secchi received Second-Team All MSFA-East honors as a kicker.

In the Spring of 2021, Siena Heights was only able to play four games due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which was a postponed fall season. In those four games, Coach Oz helped coach a stingy defensive unit that ranked nationally #1 in Rush Defense (58.0 YPG), #1 in Scoring Defense (8.5 ppg), and #2 in Total Defense (205.8 YPG). Following the season, the MSFA-East awarded Morrow with another First-Team selection.

In 2019, Coach Oz helped coach a defensive unit ranked #3 in Scoring Defense (12.1 PPG) nationally. The defense was spearheaded by two All-American defensive back selections in cornerback Trevon Claybourne (First-Team) and safety Trenten Morrow (HM). Both Claybourne and Morrow were awarded First-Team MSFA-East following the fall campaign. That year, Claybourne was also a finalist for the Cliff Harris Award, an award given to the country's best small school (NAIA/D2/D3) player.
