Siena Heights junior linebacker Kole Murlin was named the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Mid-East League Defensive Player of the Week by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Murlin had a fantastic week as he led the Saints defense with 19 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and a pass breakup. His 19 tackles tie a school record for the most tackles in a game.
This is Murlin's second MSFA Defensive Player of the Week award of his collegiate career, the first of the 2020-21 season.
Kole will lead the Saint defense against Madonna this Saturday, March 20 at noon inside of O'Laughlin Stadium.
