KANSAS CITY -- Trevon Claybourne and Trenton Morrow were named by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) in the 2019 All-America awards announced by the national office on Thursday. Claybourne was chosen first-team All-America on defense while Morrow was an honorable mention defensive back.
Claybourne finished the 2019 season with 37 tackles, 22 solo stops, 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and two interceptions. He was a key member of a Saints defense that ranked fourth in the country in scoring allowing only 12.1 points per game on average.
Morrow led the Saints with five interceptions on the season. That mark was 13th in the NAIA. He also accumulated 48 total tackles, 18 of which were solo, four TFLs, and two sacks on the season.
The NAIA All-America list comes from the AFCA All-America Selections but has the addition of an honorable mention team.
