Vincent Walker Earns MSFA Mid-East Defensive Player of the Week Honors

Siena Heights third-year sophomore defender Vincent Walker (Midland, Mich.) was tabbed the Mid-Stats Football Association Mid-East League Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Saints 20-10 road win over Saint Ambrose this past Saturday.

Walker scored on an interception return of 35 yards as time expired in the first half to put the Saints on top at the intermission. The interception and touchdown were both the first of Walker's collegiate career.

This is the first player of the week award for Walker and the first of the season for the Siena Heights football program.

The Saints are home this week as they face Trinity International in an MSFA crossover matchup. Siena Heights comes into this weekend 3-0 while the Trojans are 1-3. The game is scheduled for a 12:00 p.m., EST, kickoff.
