Saints Football Cracks NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 Poll

KANSAS CITY -- The Siena Heights Football team was ranked 25th in the September 24 NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The Saints had been receiving votes since the poll #1 was released on September 10.

Siena defeated St. Francis (Ill.) 38-27 this past weekend to obtain a 4-0 record to begin the 2018 season. It's the first time in program history that the Saints have earned a 4-0 mark.

This is the third time that SHU has made its way into the Top 25 poll. The last time the team was ranked 20th in the ninth poll of the 2014 season. Siena's first time in the Top 25 was when the team slipped into the No. 25 spot in the third poll of the 2013 season.

The Saints are one of four teams from the Mid-State Football Association (MSFA) Mideast League in the top 25.

Siena returns to action on Saturday, October 6, when Taylor (Ind.) visits O'Laughlin Stadium for the SHU homecoming game. Kickoff is slated for 4:00 p.m., ET.
