#RV Football Records Comeback Win at Saint Francis (Ill.)

JOLIET, Ill. -- Running back Dont'e Fox scored two touchdowns and linebacker Nyshaun L. Marks recorded a pair of interceptions as the Siena Heights football team snagged a 19-14 come-from-behind win over Saint Francis (Ill.) in Mid-States Football Association Mideast League play on Saturday.

SHU allowed the game's first 14 points before registering seven points in the second quarter and 12 in the fourth.

Fox had 21 carries for 95 yards and two touchdowns while quarterback Travis Zajkowski finished 16 of 30 for 250 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Tight end Donovan Campbell made five receptions for 74 yards while wide receiver Raphael Dunson had three catches for 85 yards and the go-ahead touchdown.

Quarterback Mitch Brozovich put the host Fighting Saints ahead in the first quarter with an 18-yard touchdown run. Later in the period, quarterback Trace Wanless found wide receiver Sheldon Magee with a 35-yard touchdown pass as the hosts grabbed a 14-0 advantage.

Fox's first score occurred in the second quarter on a 9-yard TD run. Fox later scored on a 1-yard run with 8:30 left in the fourth -- just one play after he gained 22 yards on a reception from Zajkowski.

Dunson's go-ahead 65-yard touchdown reception from Zajkowski was the only play of a one-play drive. Dunson scored with 2:03 left and a Marks interception ended USF's ensuing drive and sealed the win for Siena Heights.

Linebacker Tyler Karcher was SHU's leading tackler, finishing with 14 total stops, including four for-loss. Defensive lineman Chavon Watts added 10 total tackles.

Also for the SHU defense, lineman Mike Vella had a sack, lineman Jordan Martin forced a fumble, and linebacker Angelo Whittis had a fumble recovery.

Saint Francis quarterback Trace Wanless had four carries for 69 yards and completed 6 of 11 passes for 79 yards. Running back John Magee added 16 runs for 56 yards.

On defense, lineman Eric Davis had eight total tackles and defensive back Jesse Hogan compiled one interception and two blocked kicks.

With the win, Siena Heights (5-3, 4-1) remain atop the MSFA Mideast standings. The Saints will play their final MSFA Mideast game when they host Robert Morris (Ill.) for their home finale on Saturday at noon.
