Lucas Carvalho Advances to FIFA Final Round; George Tally III Forfeits in Semifinal

ADRIAN, MICH. -- The semifinal rounds of both the FIFA and Madden Spring ECAC Tournaments continued last week. Lucas Carvalho advanced to the championship round with a 2-0 win over Nico Mirabella from Stockton University. George Talley III was forced to forfeit game three and was eliminated from the championship bracket.

Carvalho won game one 3-2 before a 4-4 tie in game two forced a golden game to decide who would advance to the championship. At the 80-minute mark, Carvalho broke the deadlock to win game two and advance. He will face Victor Jeronimo from St. Johns University on Monday, April 26 at 8:00 PM.

Talley III won the first game against Danny Mcgee from Carroll University before losing the second game. Before the third game could begin, Talley III was forced to take a forfeit loss and was eliminated from the bracket. He will face Blake Beran from Carroll University on Thursday, April 29 at 8:00 PM in a third-place game.
